CFO
Responsibilities
- Lead the organization’s financial direction by shaping long-range plans, annual budgets, and forecasting processes that support strategic priorities.
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, cash management, investments, and audit coordination to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
- Partner with the Chief Executive Officer, board members, and executive leaders to provide meaningful financial analysis that informs high-level decisions.
- Establish and maintain effective internal controls, policies, and fiscal procedures that promote transparency, accountability, and risk mitigation.
- Guide compliance with applicable financial regulations, funding requirements, and reporting standards, including oversight of grant-related accounting activities.
- Supervise and develop the finance leadership team, including direct oversight of the Director of Finance, while building a high-performing function.
- Present financial results, trends, and risks in a clear manner to internal and external stakeholders such as auditors, lenders, funders, and investment partners.
- Support organizational leaders and budget owners with practical financial guidance that strengthens planning, resource allocation, and fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure financial systems and operational practices enable efficiency, sound governance, and reliable access to data across the organization.
Requirements

- Strong expertise in developing strategic financial plans that support organizational growth, sustainability, and operational performance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls, compliance standards, audit practices, and enterprise risk management.
- Experience working with boards, executive teams, auditors, financial institutions, and other external financial stakeholders.
- Background in grant accounting and managing funds in environments with complex reporting or regulatory requirements.
- Ability to translate detailed financial information into clear recommendations for non-financial leaders and decision-makers.
- Track record of leading and mentoring finance teams while fostering collaboration across multiple departments.
