Responsibilities
- Direct the organization’s financial and accounting strategy to support growth, stability, and sound decision-making across the business.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis to ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery of key information.
- Lead accounting operations within a banking environment, maintaining strong internal controls and adherence to applicable financial regulations and standards.
- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate financial risks, identify opportunities, and shape strategic plans that align with organizational goals.
- Build and sustain productive relationships with banking partners, auditors, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Guide responses to financial inquiries from internal and external parties with professionalism, clarity, and sound judgment.
- Strengthen the finance function by mentoring leadership team members, improving processes, and promoting accountability across departments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of leadership experience in accounting or finance roles within the financial services industry.
- Proven background serving in a senior financial leadership capacity, ideally at the executive level.
- Strong knowledge of banking accounting practices, financial controls, reporting requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to develop trusted business relationships and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading teams, setting financial direction, and driving operational excellence within a complex organization.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage inquiries, present financial insights, and influence decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced credentials such as CPA or MBA are preferred.
