About the role
The Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO. This role is best suited for a CFO experienced in professional services or assurance-based business models, comfortable operating at the intersection of mission, margin, and regulation - bringing financial discipline to complex service delivery while honouring purpose-driven outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a financial strategy balancing commercial performance, profitability, and growth with mission alignment.
- Provide clear, balanced financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership and the Board.
- Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, banks, ESOP consultants, and other financial partners.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance, accounting, and payroll teams.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, payroll, and treasury.
- Own enterprise-level FP&A, forecasting accuracy, and scenario modelling.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting in accordance with US GAAP and applicable international standards.
- Oversee internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard organisational assets.
- Assess and manage financial risk with particular attention to assurance, accreditation, and regulatory considerations.
- Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and reporting requirements across all operating geographies.
- Define and maintain optimal capital structure and liquidity strategy across multi-currency operations.
- Establish ROI frameworks for evaluating investments in new geographies, service lines, and technology platforms.
- Lead financial diligence, valuation, and deal structuring for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments.
- Advise on international subsidiary setup, global tax, foreign exchange, and cash repatriation.
Qualifications
- Minimum MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional certification.
- Extensive progressive financial leadership experience, including senior or executive roles.
- Track record leading finance organisations through growth, geographic expansion, or business model evolution.
- Comfort balancing accreditation independence with commercial growth and operating discipline.
- PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Within third-party certification, assurance, or professional services environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in multi-currency consolidations, transfer pricing, and international tax planning.
- Hands-on M&A experience including diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and integration.
- ERP and FP&A platform implementation experience (Sage Intacct, Planful, or comparable).
- Working knowledge of IFRS alongside US GAAP.
