Certified Tutor - Converse County School District #1

About the role

Converse County School District #1 is seeking a Certified Tutor to support at-risk programming for students’ success in academics, interpersonal skills, and post-secondary readiness. The role involves developing lesson plans, delivering group and individualized instruction, collaborating with teachers and administrators, and responding to student needs. This position reports to the Director of Special Services.

Responsibilities

• Administer and provide appropriate care for assigned children.
• Advise parents/legal guardians on student progress, achievements, and improvement methods.
• Assess student progress toward objectives and provide feedback to students, parents, teams, and administration.
• Collaborate with instructional staff, school personnel, parents, and community stakeholders to improve educational programming and student outcomes.
• Work cooperatively with students to improve performance through problem-solving techniques.
• Develop and deliver academic instruction with fidelity.
• Manage student behavior to provide a safe and optimal learning environment.
• Monitor students to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Participate in meetings to convey and gather necessary information.
• Prepare written materials (grades, attendance, anecdotal records) to document student progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education (preferred content areas: Math, English, or Special Education).
• Wyoming PTSB Teaching Certification.

Pay

Competitive salary schedule at $30/hour, up to 5 hours per week.
