Certified Tutor
About the Role
Support students in academic enrichment and behavior management. Provide one-on-one or group tutoring to reinforce classroom learning, helping students with classwork, and fostering a positive learning environment. Oversee students, ensuring they adhere to behavioral guidelines and complete their assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
- Relate well with students, parents, and peers
- Maintain excellent classroom control
- Work in a team environment
- Assist at district and building level in developing curriculum
- Motivate students in an enthusiastic, creative, and resourceful manner
- Work with students outside the classroom environment (e.g., club advisor, class advisor)
- Present a neat, clean, professional appearance at all times
- Set and pursue long-range and short-range goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a job-related area
- Washington State Teaching Certificate
- Meet WA State Certification Criteria
Pay
$45.00 per hour or per diem, whichever is lower.
Schedule
- 5 days per week, 180 days total
- 2 hours per day
- Temporary position: August 24, 2026 – June 4, 2027

Work Environment
The role requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and fine finger dexterity. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.
