Pay

About the Role
Join HCA Healthcare’s TriCities Hospital as a Certified Surgical Technologist. You will work within the Surgical Services Team to ensure a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient experience in the operating room.
Responsibilities
- Utilize principles of aseptic technique to create and maintain a sterile field.
- Demonstrate competency in scrubbing as it relates to unit scope of care.
- Plan and provide equipment and supplies based on patient and physician needs.
- Promote cost containment while delivering quality patient care within the operating room.
- Work as a member of the Surgical Services Team to promote teamwork.
- Demonstrate flexibility to perform other functions within Surgical Services and procedural areas to assist in smooth department operations and maintain competencies.
- Pursue professional growth through continuing education and in‑service training.
- Participate in department on‑call assignments and cover staffing as needed.
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures; support the mission of the hospital.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or completion of on‑the‑job training.
- At least one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
Licenses, Certifications, & Training
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Required.
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) by the State of Virginia – Required.
