Certified Surgical Technologist

About the role
The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday daytime work schedule
- No call required
- No nights, no weekends, no holiday work hours
Responsibilities
- Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures
- Prepare supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
- Demonstrate competence as a member of the surgical team
- Support and participate in quality improvement activities
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Surgical Technologist training program
- 2+ years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech with experience in multiple specialties, including orthopedic procedures
- Certification as required by the state of Nevada
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
