About the role

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) providing anesthesia services under medical supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Administer general and regional anesthesia for various surgical, obstetrical, and medical procedures across all age groups.
  • Evaluate patients pre-operatively, select appropriate anesthetic approaches, and monitor intraoperative and postoperative conditions.
  • Manage airway, fluid balance, homeostasis, and respond to emergencies including airway issues and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Prepare and check anesthesia equipment, administer drugs, and maintain accurate documentation and controlled substances.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists, communicate patient concerns, and supervise student nurse anesthetists.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, standards (e.g., TJC, Title 22), and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Establish professional and courteous relationships with patients, staff, and the public.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
  • Valid RN license and CRNA certification in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • National Provider Identifier, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
  • Experience with anesthesia for major procedures involving extensive monitoring and patient management across age groups.
  • Proficiency in clinical techniques, equipment, documentation, and staff education.

Additional Requirements

  • Demonstrated technical, clinical, and professional skills aligned with state practice regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Additional relevant skills and experience beyond minimum requirements, especially in complex procedures and staff development.
