About the Role
Under medical supervision, administers general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across all age groups, including neonatal to geriatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Airway management, fluid balance, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management
- Evaluating patients pre- and post-operatively
- Collaborating with anesthesiologists and surgeons
- Checking and preparing anesthesia equipment and drugs
- Monitoring intraoperative patient stability
- Maintaining accurate records and complying with policies and safety standards
- Precepting student nurse anesthetists
- Maintaining supplies and equipment
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (California)
- National Provider Identifier and Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support certifications
- Experience with extensive monitoring and fluid management across age groups
Skills
- Strong technical, clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and staff education
Preferred Qualifications
- Recent obstetric anesthesia experience, including labor epidurals
