About the role
Under medical supervision, administers general and regional anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical, and other procedures across all age groups, including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include airway management, fluid balance, monitoring, emergency response, and ventilator management.
Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance with policies, evaluates patients pre-operatively, collaborates with anesthesiologists, and monitors intraoperative and postoperative patient conditions.
- Prepares and administers anesthesia, maintains equipment, and documents procedures accurately.
- Precepts student nurse anesthetists and maintains safety and organizational standards.
- Interacts courteously with patients, staff, and the public.
- Performs additional duties within scope as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (California) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
- Certifications: CRNA National Certification, NPI, ACLS, and BLS.
- Experience in anesthesia for major procedures, with skills in monitoring, fluid management, documentation, and equipment handling.
- Strong technical, clinical, communication, and staff development skills.
