Certified Recreational Therapist - Full Time

Primarily day shifts with varied hours as needed.

About the role

Evaluates residents' physical and cognitive abilities, social and emotional behaviors, and leisure/play interests. As part of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team, provides individualized, comprehensive treatment plans to restore abilities and add quality of life, which will improve their function and independence or eliminate the effects of illness or disability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare required documentation and reports including but not limited to progress notes, care plans, attendance records, calendars, and articles for Nursing Home newsletter
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certified by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
• Two years' experience in a social or recreation program within the last five years
• Must have completed the required course education and practicum
• Continuing education as required to maintain certification
