Responsibilities
- Assist patients in articulating personal recovery goals.
- Determine reasonable and holistic steps towards recovery.
- Identify and address barriers to recovery.
- Teach problem-solving skills and combat negative self-talk.
- Support vocational choices and job-related anxieties.
- Build social skills and demonstrate proper conduct.
- Identify and utilize community support services.
- Attend treatment team meetings and medication appointments.
- Teach and role model the value of recovery experiences.
- Maintain effective coping and self-help techniques.
- Continue professional development through coursework and training.
- Investigate and recommend community resources.
- Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Support treatment team objectives and strategies.
- Fulfill documentation requirements accurately and promptly.
- Use inclusive language and attitudes with all patients and teammates.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) credential.
- Self-identify as a current or former patient.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in behavioral health industry.
