Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing blood collection procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and maintaining accurate records. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing. Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens to maintain integrity and prevent contamination. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, addressing any concerns they may have. Document all procedures accurately and maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Qualifications Certification in phlebotomy from a recognized institution. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. Preferred Skills Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Bilingual abilities are a plus. Work Environment This position operates in a clinical setting, requiring adherence to health and safety protocols. The role may involve standing for extended periods and handling biohazardous materials.
