Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures to obtain blood specimens for laboratory testing.
• Ensure proper labeling and handling of specimens to maintain integrity and prevent contamination.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Provide compassionate and professional care to patients, addressing any concerns they may have.
• Document all procedures accurately and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Certification in phlebotomy from a recognized institution.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
