About the role
This is a temporary float position supporting multiple outpatient healthcare and laboratory locations within the local service area. The assignment duration is approximately 4 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture, fingerstick, and heel stick techniques.
- Ensure accuracy and quality of collected specimens.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Follow all regulatory requirements and policies.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) in a medical laboratory or clinical setting.
- Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
