Certified Phlebotomy Tech

About the role

This is a temporary float position supporting multiple outpatient healthcare and laboratory locations within the local service area. The assignment duration is approximately 4 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture, fingerstick, and heel stick techniques.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of collected specimens.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Follow all regulatory requirements and policies.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) in a medical laboratory or clinical setting.
• Proficiency in medical terminology is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Skills

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
