What You Will Do

  • Perform data entry for patient registration and prescription orders, troubleshoot issues, and resolve third party rejects.
  • Operate computerized data systems for order entry, claims adjudication, and insurance management.
  • Facilitate pharmacy services through calls with patients, ensuring education and delivery transactions.
  • Serve as a liaison between patient care units and pharmacy, ensuring responsive and courteous communication.
  • Assist pharmacists and communicate issues to senior staff.
  • De-escalate conflicts and provide patient assistance as needed.
  • Monitor performance and adjust activities to meet productivity standards.
  • Conduct initial research of pharmacy issues and escalate complex cases to higher-level staff.
  • Review and process prescription claims for accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve issues affecting service and business operations.
  • Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Assist with training new hires in the call-center and attend required training sessions.
  • Operate computer systems and general office equipment.
  • Manage correspondence with patients and prescribers, including inbound and outbound calls and emails.
  • Assist pharmacists with technical pharmacy services, including packaging medications and maintaining records.
  • Prepare and fill prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Handle transportation and storage of pharmacy items, ensuring accurate delivery to patient care units.
