Certified Peer Support Service Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Support Service Worker (PSS) and/or Youth Support Service Worker (YSS) to join our team in Idaho. In this role, you will provide invaluable support and mentorship to both adults and youth who may be experiencing mental health challenges, addiction recovery, and co-occurring disorders. As a Certified Peer Support Service Worker and/or Youth Support Service Worker, you will have the opportunity to build and manage your own case load, making a significant impact on the lives of the individuals you serve.

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist (PSS) and/or Certified Youth Support Specialist (YSS) in the state of Idaho
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or relevant certifications in psychology, social work, addiction counseling, or related fields are preferred
• Previous experience working with adults and/or youth in a supportive or mentorship capacity, particularly in addiction recovery and co-occurring disorders
• Strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals dealing with mental health issues, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to actively listen, empathize, and build rapport with clients
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage a case load, and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficient computer skills for documentation and data entry
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
