Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Verbalize understanding of what recovery means and articulate it to others.
- Assist clients with identifying personal strengths in daily living and recovery skills.
- Aid staff in identifying program elements that are supportive or barriers to recovery.
- Facilitate evidence-based protocols, safety plans, complete screens and risk assessments as trained.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to partner with Centerstone programs and community partners.
- Coordinate and assist with crisis intervention/ connection to care.
- Cook up referrals to inpatient, residential behavioral health/mental health/substance treatment.
- Transport clients to appointments and to access resources.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to meet communication requirements of certification.
- Basic computer literacy is required.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Must be 18 years of age or older, have lived experience receiving mental health, substance use or gambling treatment. High school diploma or equivalent.
- Years Of Experience: Minimum of one year of recovery. Experience Within The Criminal Justice System Preferred.
Requirements Of The Certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- PRS Certification is required.
- Must be able to verify completion of state-approved training program and passing score on certification exam, if not currently certified, must become certified within 90 days unless otherwise approved by the hiring manager.
- Requirements Of The Certification Which Include Lived Experience with Mental Illness/ Substance Use or Gambling Disorder
- Willing to share personal recovery story to assist others
- Assist clients in determining reasonable and holistic steps moving into recovery and identifying barriers to recovery goals
