Certified Peer Recovery Supporter - Full Time - Summit Behavioral Healthcare

About the Role
At the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health (DBH), this position focuses on peer support and recovery services within Summit Behavioral Healthcare. The role leverages personal recovery experience to foster hope, encouragement, and motivation throughout the recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes personal recovery experience to promote hope, encouragement, and motivation for clients/residents.
- Leads and coordinates recovery-focused groups, teaching coping skills, relaxation techniques, and wellness strategies.
- Mentors clients/residents through the recovery process by encouraging empowerment, goal-setting, and self-advocacy.
- Educates clients/residents on available peer services, rights processes, advance directives, and supplemental support programs.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Peer Recovery Supporter in accordance with OAC 5122.29.15.
- Official transcripts for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application. Transcripts must be submitted within five (5) business days of request; failure to comply will result in disqualification. Transcripts printed from an institution’s website will not be accepted.

Pay
$22.59 per hour (Pay Range 27 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule). Unless required by union contract or Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate begins at Step 1 with an opportunity for a pay increase after 120 days of satisfactory performance, followed by yearly raises.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
