Certified Recovery Peer Advocate, Full-Time, Days

About the Role

This is a full-time position located at Gouverneur Hospital within the Behavioral Health department.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a 30-hour Peer Recovery Training course.
• Peer Ethics Training Course.
• If applicant is a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate-Provisional:
  • Must complete 500 hours of work experience, including 25 hours of supervision within 6 months.
  • Schedule and pass the IC&RC Exam upon completion of work experience.
  • Maintain current certification status.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.25 per hour. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant and may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
