About the role
Mental Health Professionals, formerly known as VABODE, provides sober living housing and addiction recovery support services to adults. We share in the rich heritage 30-year history of our non-profit organization, Christian Soldiers Charities and Missions, and strive to help those affected the most by mental health, resulting in poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, emotional and behavioral needs. This missions of our services continues to be to demonstrate the Love of God at the forefront of our behavioral health, human services, outreach and evangelism efforts.
Responsibilities
The Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist is a full time position that requires monitoring guests, identifying safety concerns, notifying safety personnel, and direct assistance with household management. This team member will occasionally be working with clients in emotionally charged situations and must be comfortable and able to maintain composure. They must be able to immediately identify the appropriate staff member to assist client in stabilization during these charged situations.
Requirements
- Candidate must have experience working with individuals with mental health and/or chemical addiction issues.
- High School or equivalent GED required or Bachelor’s Degree in human service.
- Must have a Certified Peer Recovery Certification or be a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor issued by the Department of Health Professionals.

Pay
$20.00 per hour
