About the role

This position is with the Veteran Affairs Office. The incumbent assists Student Success staff in a variety of student services areas, provides assistance and encouragement to all students, and refers students to appropriate college service areas when necessary.

• Assist Student Success staff across multiple student services areas
• Provide assistance and encouragement to all students
• Refer students to appropriate college service areas as needed

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

• Must be enrolled in at least six credit hours at one of the Alamo Colleges District (ACD) colleges or another accredited institution of higher education after attending or graduating from an ACD college

Licenses and Certifications

• Must complete badges related to this position as determined by the Alamo Colleges
• Must complete Peer Advisor Certification training, as assigned, within the first year of employment

Schedule

This position requires availability during Student Success Hours of Operation:

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Hours per week: 19

This is a part‑time, temporary position and is not eligible for benefits.
