Certified Payroll & Prevailing Wage Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Process and review daily payroll and prevailing wage reports.
  • Analyze and validate data within Microsoft Excel to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle sensitive employee and compensation information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Submit required payroll and compliance documentation through customer and government portals.
  • Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Support prevailing wage and certified payroll administration activities.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Monitor and process high-volume data with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve reporting, payroll, and compliance issues.
  • Assist with process improvements, reporting enhancements, and operational initiatives.
  • Utilize Microsoft Outlook and other business systems to manage communications and documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience in payroll, accounting, accounts payable, compliance, finance, or related administrative functions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including formulas, data analysis, reconciliation, and data validation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex multi-step processes.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
  • Able to identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Payroll experience.
  • Prevailing Wage experience.
  • Experience supporting government, construction, union, or compliance-regulated environments.
  • Experience working with large data sets and reporting tools.
  • Previous audit, compliance, or payroll reconciliation experience.
