About the role
Northgate Care Center is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support and implement therapy programs that help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Auxiliary implementation of customized occupational therapy programs under the direction of an Occupational Therapist.
- Assistance in helping patients regain strength and independence in daily activities through targeted therapy exercises.
- Maintenance and documentation of patient progress, adjustment of care plans as necessary.
- Education of patients and families on therapy goals and at-home exercises.
- Ensuring patients feel supported and comfortable throughout their therapy sessions.
Requirements
- State of Iowa Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
- Experience preferred – but we are also willing to invest in new grads!
