Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s occupational therapy plan of treatment with OTR supervision.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient treatments, changes in condition, and other pertinent information as required.
• Makes modifications to the patient’s treatment plan during sessions based on observed responses.
• Observes residents and writes progress reports.

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing in the state of VT.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
