About the role

A certified occupational therapy assistant will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships by learning about the life stories of our residents and staff. Each day, our certified occupational therapy assistants utilize their clinical skills to promote the physical and psychosocial well-being of the residents, leading to a rewarding sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for our residents.
  • Promote teamwork within the care team to exceed the needs of our residents.
  • Work with nursing and other facility teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive resident care.
  • Collaborate with other therapy professionals to ensure the best care for our residents.
  • Interact respectfully and positively with residents, families, customers, and staff.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Indiana.
  • Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident conditions.
  • Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
  • Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to our residents, family members, customers and staff.
