Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

About the role

The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work closely with our occupational therapists to design and implement individualized therapy plans for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting occupational therapists with patient assessments, goal setting, and treatment plans
• Providing direct patient care, including exercises, activities, and training on daily living skills
• Moderating activities to meet the unique needs of each patient
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Participating in patient education and discharge planning
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies
• One year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
• Current OTA certification or Licensure (if applicable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with rehabilitation settings and treatment approaches
