About the Role

This position supports patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed Nurse, assisting with routine duties in a nursing unit. It involves clerical, organizational, and patient-focused tasks to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes, including documentation and room preparation.
• Transport stable patients safely, maintaining confidentiality and security.
• Manage equipment and supplies, run errands, and replenish patient rooms.
• Support staff by performing unit-specific patient care tasks, monitoring patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly.
• Maintain organized supplies and respond effectively to emergencies and communication from team members.
• Adapt care methods to meet the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and developmental needs of each patient.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Patient care experience in an acute care setting is advantageous.
• Licensed CNA in the state of employment is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
