Responsibilities
- Assists participants and/or supervises activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, mouth care, eating, nail care, and toileting)
- Makes sure participants have meals
- Does and/or assists with laundry for participants
- Helps drivers load and unload participants from vehicles
- Reports any changes in participant's condition to the RN or appropriate staff
- Provides physical assistance during participant transport
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Active, unencumbered CNA certification; must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry
- Current CPR certification required
- ServSafe certification required (can be obtained post-hire)
- At least one year of experience working with frail or elderly populations
- Medical clearance and up-to-date immunizations required prior to participant contact
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation required
