Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Laborist Team, 3 shifts per week

About the role

You’ll be part of a new, six-person midwifery team providing care in both inpatient Labor & Delivery and eventual outpatient follow-ups. Working collaboratively, three shifts per week, with our Laborists and with Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists through the High-Risk Pregnancy Centers, this is a unique opportunity to help build a comprehensive midwifery service that truly reflects the midwifery model of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to women throughout their pregnancy, labor, and postpartum periods.
• Collaborate with Laborists and Maternal Fetal Medicine specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Manage prenatal visits, perform routine screenings, and provide education on maternal and fetal health.
• Assist in deliveries, including primary and operative deliveries, and provide immediate postpartum care.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and address any emergent situations.
• Participate in clinical decision-making and contribute to the development of care plans based on individual patient needs.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain current knowledge in midwifery practice.

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACNM-accredited Nurse-Midwifery program
• Current or eligible Nevada CNM license, DEA, and prescriptive authority
• Preferred 2 years of experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife (New grads are welcome to apply)
