Certified Nurse Midwife - Clinical Director

About the role

The Birth Center of Denver is the first and only hospital-owned freestanding birth center in Colorado. We provide evidence-based, compassionate, and supportive care to women and families in the Denver area. We offer prenatal care, customized education classes, labor support, water birth, postpartum, and newborn care up to 14 days. CenteringPregnancy™ is our standard model of prenatal care.

Responsibilities

• Practice at the Birth Center of Denver and St. Joseph’s Hospital
• Hold clinical privileges at both centers
• Enjoy a hybrid role with half your time dedicated to patient care and half to administrative leadership
• Have clinical privileges and administrative responsibilities
• Work in a blended setting of clinic and call

Requirements

• Graduation from an ACNM accredited nurse-midwifery education program
• Active AMCB certification
• At least 5 years of full-scope midwifery practice
• Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license or ability to obtain one
• Full prescriptive authority and active DEA or ability to obtain one
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

• Led clinical experience in both birth center and hospital settings
• Leadership experience

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $50.97 - $78.69, with actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
