Certified Nurse Midwife

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our midwifery-led practice at Gifford Healthcare in beautiful Central Vermont. Our practice serves both our local community and patients from across the state and neighboring states.

Responsibilities

• Practice full-scope midwifery care, including obstetrics, gynecology, first assist, ultrasound, and external cephalic versions.
• Attend approximately 220 births per year, supporting physiologic birth, waterbirth, VBAC, and twin gestations.
• Collaborate with OB colleagues for care of higher-risk pregnancies.
• Work with a high level of autonomy in a close-knit team providing individualized, consistent, flexible, and trustworthy care.
• Call can be taken within a 30-minute radius.

Requirements

• Must be certified as a Nurse Midwife.
• Must hold all required licensure and certifications.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
