Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate Nursing performance and delivery of patient care through data collection, including interviews.
- Conduct audits and reviews to assess compliance with regulations and standards of nursing care.
- Analyze resident care data from clinical documentation, external Quality Measures, and feedback from staff and residents to identify trends.
- Conduct comprehensive audits on medical records to ensure accuracy and adherence to policies, practices, and standards of care.
- Develop and implement teaching plans based on audit results, collaborating with Education to address identified issues.
- Validate compliance with education plans and conduct root cause analysis with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
- Investigate self-reports to the State, nursing complaints, and adverse events, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Collaborate with health care teams, not limited to Nursing, to establish best practices and design staff training programs targeting areas for improvement.
- Design and implement monitoring processes to measure the success of training and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Affirm resident care policies and procedures to align with quality standards and develop monitoring processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports on quality improvement initiatives, tracking processes, and outcomes to residents.
- Maintain action plans with Nursing departments to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses, collaborate with nursing departments to develop robust action plans, and emphasize ongoing improvement.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and committees to review opportunities for Quality Assurance and Improvement (QAPI) interventions.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland.
- At least 3 years of experience in Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including survey processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Management (Six Sigma, Lean) is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Point Click Care and other related online websites.
Pay
Min USD $38.05/Hr. Max USD $57.05/Hr.
