Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate Nursing performance and delivery of patient care through data collection, including interviews.
- Conduct audits and reviews to assess compliance with regulations and standards of nursing care.
- Analyze resident care data from clinical documentation, external Quality Measures, and staff/resident concerns.
- Develop and implement teaching plans based on audit results and collaborate with Education.
- Validate compliance through further audits and determine if education plan achieved desired outcomes.
- Evaluate and refine teaching plans with problem-solving concepts for continuous improvement.
- Investigate self-reports, nursing complaints, and adverse events for compliance to documentation and conduct root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with health care teams, not limited to Nursing, to establish best practices and design staff training.
- Implement monitoring processes to measure the success of training and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on quality improvement initiatives, tracking processes, and outcomes to residents.
- Collaborate with Nursing departments on action plans to monitor compliance and identify strengths and weaknesses.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and committees to review opportunities for QAPI interventions.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license in the State of Maryland.
- 3 years of experience in Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Environments.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including survey processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Quality Assurance or Quality Management (Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.
- Proficiency in using Point Click Care and other related online websites.
Pay
Min USD $38.05/Hr. Max USD $57.05/Hr.
