About the role
A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) plays a vital role in our community. You will pass medications as prescribed by the physician and provide direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. You will observe and report any changes in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior of residents.
You will maintain confidentiality, follow HIPAA requirements, and uphold facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor will help you provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Pass medications as prescribed by the physician
- Provide direct care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse
- Observe and report changes in residents' condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Uphold facility policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
Qualifications
- Current Kansas CMA license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Desire to work with the elderly
- Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred but not required
- Trustworthy, respectful, dependable, and professional
- Strong team player with effective communication skills
Pay
$18–$19.80 per hour

Schedule
8-hour shifts (6a–2p, 2p–10p) every other weekend (EOW). Part-time, full-time, and PRN positions available. PRN staff must work a minimum of 4 shifts per month, including at least one weekend shift.
