Responsibilities
- Maintain updated vaccine requirements and Ensure Timely Completion of All Medical Screenings
- Maintaining system-wide student medical and immunization records;
- Processing state required screenings including vision, hearing, scoliosis, and ANTES screenings;
- Ensuring compliance with HIPPA, FERPA, and other national standards to protect the privacy of student health information;
- Accurate & Timely Clinic Documentation in Skyward
- Inputting student health data into the student information system within 48 hours;
- Maintaining sign-in sheets, incident reports, and medication logs for students;
- Processing and adhering to the students’ Individual Health Plans;
- Efficiently supporting students’ medical needs and ensuring they spend no more than 10 minutes in the clinic unless they are waiting to be picked up by a guardian;
- Assisting with inventory of medical supplies and proactively replenishing supplies;
- Campus Operations Quality Support
- Implementing school health management protocols for students with chronic health issues, e.g., seizure, asthma, diabetes;
- Responding urgently to any campus medical emergencies;
- Promoting health and community services to students, staff, and families;
- Supporting campus attendance initiatives and ensuring accurate clinic data for attendance reconciliation;
- Providing operational support as a backup for partner campuses to ensure continuity of services and smooth campus operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Medical Assistant Certification in the State of Texas
- Current on First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed and Diabetes certification with a commitment to keep all required trainings and certifications up to date

- Compensation – This position is an non-exempt, hourly position; salary offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc.
- Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
- Retirement Plans – Participation in Teacher Retirement System of Texas and a 457b Retirement Plan.
- Paid Time Off – Employees working 20+ hours a week receive 12 days of Paid Time Off in addition to the system closures during the Academic Calendar.
