Certified Medical Assistant - SouthPark Pointe Express Care

Responsibilities

• Weighs in to support patient care, including exams, treatments, and patient education.
• Assists with rooming patients, recording patient histories, vital signs, and documenting in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Administers medications, immunizations, and treatments within the scope of licensure.
• Educates patients on health, medications, and follow-up care.
• Coordinates referrals and patient care follow-ups.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Requirements

• Valid and current certification in the state of Iowa for Medical Assisting.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – accredited program with certification (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, NCMA, NAHP, AAH, ARMA or NHCA).
• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EPIC a plus!

Qualifications

Valid and current certification in the state of Iowa for Medical Assisting.

Schedule

32 hours per week - (2) 12 hour shifts and (1) 8 hour shift per week (rotating weekends)
