Certified Medical Assistant - Orthopedics Roanoke Rapids

Position Summary

Captures clinic operations and supports providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry, and medical records management. Assists with and provides patient care services and customer services as necessary. Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Performs vital signs and patient questionnaire intake
• Data entry and medical records management
• Assists with and provides patient care services and customer services
• Maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records
• Demonstrates skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history, and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians
• Manages and performs multiple tasks and assists patients and providers as necessary

Requirements

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• High School, equivalent or higher is required
• One of the following certifications is required: Certified Medical Assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT), or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcare Career Association (NHA)
• Two years of experience or graduation from an in-person formal training program preferred

Schedule

Day shift: Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8am-5pm
