About the Role

TN Valley Primary Care, a division of Summit Medical Group, has an opening for an experienced Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) or LPN to join their office. This is a full-time position.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for examinations and procedures according to physician preferences.
  • Record vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, height, and weight.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and holter monitor placement.
  • Assist physicians with procedures, administer medications, and conduct patient education.
  • Handle phone nursing duties, including triaging, pre-certs, referrals, and prescription calls.
  • Perform clerical duties to support patient care, including contacting patients regarding test results.
  • Pull and prepare patient records for physician review.
  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain stocked, neat, and clean exam rooms and common work areas daily.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance programs, as well as state and federal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA).
  • Follow site-specific protocols and expectations.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with coworkers, management, and the public.
  • Participate in site-level Quality Improvement Activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors, site managers, physicians, or administrative staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional vocational or college credits preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in a similar clinical setting preferred.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification or LPN TN license required.
