About the role

$2500 Sign on Bonus for new hires. Certified Medical Assistant to assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office. Maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care, i.e. exams, procedures and patient education under the direction and supervision of a physician.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physician with the daily operations of the physician’s office
  • Maintain efficient patient flow and assist with patient care, including exams, procedures, and patient education under physician supervision
  • Perform triage, monitor, and record vitals of all visiting patients
  • Perform EKG and Phlebotomy, as applicable
  • Ensure accurate medical documentation of office visits
  • Ensure all interactions with patients, the public, physicians, and other personnel are friendly, courteous, helpful, and considerate
  • Assist with office and scheduling coordination in their absence, if necessary

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
  • Certification: Medical Assistant Certification required through one of the following: National Healthcare Association (NHA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Center for Competency Training (NCCT), the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), or Healthcare Professional Registry of the US (HPRUS) (Will allow 90 days to obtain certification)
  • Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Experience: Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited school OR three years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting in lieu of Medical Assistant diploma
  • Experience: At least one year of relevant work experience (preferred)
