Certified Medical Assistant - Cancer Clinic - Charlotte

Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality, cost-effective service and care for the practice population.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist providers to ensure safe, quality, cost-effective care for the practice population.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED, required.
• Current certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire) as CMA, RMA, or CCMA from one of the following approved registries:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • National Health Career Association (NHA)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
  • American Allied Health (AAH)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
• Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Current State Driver’s License (required for Palliative Care roles only).
• Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
