Certified Medical Assistant - GU Cancer Clinic- Charlotte

Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality, cost-effective service and care for the practice population.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality, cost-effective service and care for the practice population.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, including an externship in a medical office clinical setting (certificate must be obtained within six months of hire). Curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) from one of the following:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • National Health career Association (NHA)
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT)
  • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
  • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)
• Annual UAP agreement with provider required.
• Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

Qualifications

• Previous work in a medical setting preferred.
