Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA), Outpatient Hospice, Full-Time, 8:00 AM-4:30PM

About the role

The Home Health Aide provides assistance to the patient in the home with personal care and related personal services intended to maintain the patient's comfort as well as ability to remain in his/her personal residence. Services must be authorized by a physician when a skilled Plan of Treatment is being implemented by a registered nurse, physical therapist, or speech therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and related personal services to patients in their homes.
• Document observations and report to professional nurse or therapist as required.
• Use basic computer skills and abilities.
• Pass a competency test or demonstrate current certifications as per OBRA '89.
• Drive to patient homes using a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Requirements

• California State Home Health Aide Certificate.
• Current BLS CRP certification from the American Heart Association.
• Current CHHA/CNA certification.
• Valid California driver's license and auto insurance.

Qualifications

• Cognizant of home health aide standards of care.
• Basic computer knowledge and abilities.
• Ability to pass a competency test or demonstrate current certifications as per OBRA '89.

Skills

• Compliance with home health aide standards of care.
• Basic computer skills.
• Competency in patient care as prescribed by OBRA '89.
• Current certifications (BLS CRP, CHHA/CNA).
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
