CERTIFIED DIABETES CARE & EDUCATION SPECIALIST EXEMPT, RN - DANC

About the Role

This position provides high quality, compassionate healthcare promoting health and wellness in our community. The CDCES works directly with patients and their families to provide individual and group education and support to people with diabetes and other chronic health conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: One of the following: RN, Dietitian - BS, Social Work - MSW, Exercise Physiologist - MS
• Minimum Experience: Two years experience in nursing, dietetics, social work, or exercise physiology, including patients with diabetes
• Required Registration/License/Certification: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, as well as licensure required by State of Alabama dependent on professional designation; BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
• Preferred Education: Advanced degree
• Preferred Experience: Two years experience in diabetes patient care management and education
