About the Role
Shriners Children’s is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) to join our Sports Medicine Team. In this role, you will help keep athletes safe and healthy on the playing field, in the clinic, and within the community. You will serve as a liaison between medical staff, therapists, coaches, and community trainers, assisting in injury clinics and working with athletes across various sports, including competitive cheer, club soccer, and Little League baseball.
This position offers a balanced schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., working indoors.
Responsibilities
- Provide athletic training services in sports health and medicine clinics, including assisting medical staff with patient injury education, crutch training, home exercise program instruction, and cast application.
- Offer consultation in the rehabilitation setting alongside rehabilitation staff to make return-to-sport recommendations.
- Promote and teach sports safety while participating in sports-related community and public relations events for Shriners Children’s.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a rehabilitative-related field.
- Athletic Training degree with NATA Certification.
- Board Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of pediatric experience (new graduates will be considered).
- 3–5 years of athletic training experience.
Pay
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
