About the role
This is a full school-year position responsible for the prevention, recognition, evaluation, immediate care, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of athletic injuries. The athletic trainer serves as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes, and parents, ensuring players participate only when physically able and that physician instructions are followed.
The athletic trainer will coordinate with the Athletic Director to manage the athletic training room and attend all required events.
Responsibilities
- Prevent athletic injuries through proactive measures.
- Recognize, evaluate, and provide immediate care for athletic injuries.
- Rehabilitate and recondition athletes following injuries.
- Administer healthcare programs and maintain professional development as outlined in the NATA Certified Athletic Trainer Domains.
- Act as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes, and parents.
- Ensure athletes only participate when medically cleared and that physician instructions are understood and followed.
- Coordinate with the Athletic Director to oversee the athletic training room and attend all required events.
Pay
Salary range: $55,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience.
