Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients.
  • Implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to assist clients in managing their symptoms.
  • Offer support for clients dealing with PTSD and other trauma-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
  • Stay updated on best practices in clinical counseling and behavioral health.

Requirements

  • Strong background in clinical counseling with experience in individual and group counseling.
  • Proficient in inpatient assessment techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding related to behavioral health services.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • A compassionate approach to counseling with a strong desire to help individuals improve their mental health.

Qualifications

Must have a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Addiction Counseling (CADC).

Pay

Pay for CADC depends on your case load, you can make $32k - $100k annually.

Schedule

The group is a 2/3 times a week (each session is 10-12 minutes long).

Things to Keep in Mind

  • This is intensive community-based work.
  • There is a mandatory 1-day orientation/training (MANDATORY).
  • We do not pay for mileage.
  • The group is held at the office closest to you, our locations are Durham, Wilson, Washington (NC), Greensboro, Ayden, Elkin, and Charlotte.
  • Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
  • The schedule is flexible within the specified days and hours.
