Job Description Ensure products meet regulatory standards by guiding engineering teams, planning and executing tests, and securing approvals. Conduct software and hardware testing to identify improvements, manage risks and schedules, and apply quality control procedures. Maintain compliance with global standards, resolve audit issues, and support efficient project execution. Develop best practices, train teams, and troubleshoot test failures by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. The HBT Regulatory Team has an immediate opportunity for a Certification Engineer within our Global Regulatory Team. The preferred candidate will be highly motivated with demonstrated initiative, and is willing to learn and understanding of product compliance methodologies within a regulated global environment Responsibilities Interpret regulatory standards and advise engineering teams so they meet product requirementsPrepare test plans, setup systems, coordinate testing and obtain approval results with agencies Perform software & hardware testing to identify performance gaps & improvement opportunitiesAnalyze task risks, deadlines & priorities to help management derive realistic project schedulesUtilize quality control procedures and approval guides to perform responsible test executionsDevelop standard work, implement best practices and train engineering team membersMaintain product & equipment compliance to latest changes from UL/ULC, EN, ISO, FM and other global standardsResolve manufacturing audit concerns by providing accurate & complete information Utilize resources and optimize strategies for fastest way to execute projectsIdentify test failure root causes and work with engineers on corrective action to resolve failures Qualifications YOU MUST HAVE Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer ScienceBasic understanding of electrical circuits and electrical physics WE VALUE At least 1 year of experience with new product development or in an electrical/electronic testing laboratoryCapability to analyze requirements & manage product compliance from application to approvalStrong problem-solving skills: prioritize, identify root causes & take corrective actions Ability to use or learn and use lab equipment and relevant software. Examples include using oscilloscope, developing loads, dielectric testers, transient machine, environmental Recognized proactive team fostering behavior & passion to get on time resultsProven experience to engage multidisciplinary teams to resolve problemsEstablished skills to organize logistical challenges, prioritize concerns & manage resolutions Excellent communication skills, effective verbal & written English proficiencyBasic MS office knowledgeKnowledge of the New Product Development process of electrical, electronic, or electro-mechanical products The salary range for this position is ($72,700 - $90,850). Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
