Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is hiring for a position supporting Navarro-ATL in Richland, WA. Navarro-ATL operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates understanding of the application of Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) and can review and approve safety basis documents.
  • Reviews drawings, process procedures, and quality reports.
  • Identifies and reports quality problems or trends.
  • Performs quality control inspections.
  • Serves as technical authority for quality plans, procedures, and audit checklists.
  • Provides quality assurance support to procurement efforts through process oversight, qualification of vendors, review of procurement documents, development of quality assurance requirements, and evaluation of proposals.
  • Ensures sampling plans, quality standards, and quality instructions are utilized in assessing the quality levels of products and processes.
  • Participates in identifying and dispositioning non-conforming items.
  • Provides recommendations concerning the disposition of defective materials.
  • Leads program audits and surveillance, including supplier or subcontractor audits or surveillances.
  • Provides quality guidance to engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Science, or related field and 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Due to the nature of the government contract requirements, US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate with peers and management clearly and concisely.
  • Experience implementing ISO 9001, NQA-1, or similar quality systems.
  • Nuclear experience.
  • Quality control inspector experience.
  • Lead auditor experience.
