Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is hiring for a position supporting Navarro-ATL in Richland, WA. Navarro-ATL operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates understanding of the application of Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) and can review and approve safety basis documents.
- Reviews drawings, process procedures, and quality reports.
- Identifies and reports quality problems or trends.
- Performs quality control inspections.
- Serves as technical authority for quality plans, procedures, and audit checklists.
- Provides quality assurance support to procurement efforts through process oversight, qualification of vendors, review of procurement documents, development of quality assurance requirements, and evaluation of proposals.
- Ensures sampling plans, quality standards, and quality instructions are utilized in assessing the quality levels of products and processes.
- Participates in identifying and dispositioning non-conforming items.
- Provides recommendations concerning the disposition of defective materials.
- Leads program audits and surveillance, including supplier or subcontractor audits or surveillances.
- Provides quality guidance to engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Science, or related field and 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements, US citizenship is required.
Qualifications
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate with peers and management clearly and concisely.
- Experience implementing ISO 9001, NQA-1, or similar quality systems.
- Nuclear experience.
- Quality control inspector experience.
- Lead auditor experience.
