About the role
Create and form molds using ceramic materials.
Responsibilities
- Review work order and determine tools required for job.
- Clean mold tools and apply releasing agent before use.
- Pack ceramic material into mold tool, inject with gas, and cure mandrel.
- Use small hand tools to remove tooling from ceramics mandrel.
- Sand smooth and remove any defects before staging for layup.
- After lay-up, wash out ceramic from composite part.
- Remove any tape or remaining debris from inner duct.
- Responsible only for own work.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or bronze level WorkKeys certification.
- 6 months of composite or related experience.
