Job Overview

Works alongside manufacturing engineering and operators to troubleshoot problems that arise with the implementation of any of the below tasks.

  • Assist engineers to identify and implement new tooling.
  • Work alongside manufacturing engineering to analyze, identify, design and implement improved manufacturing techniques and processes in work cells.
  • Perform time studies to verify current production sequence documentation is accurate to the actual manufacturing processes.
  • Work alongside manufacturing engineering to analyze, identify and implement replacement machinery to improve throughput of various production processes.
  • Aid manufacturing engineering in defining requirements and guidelines for replacement equipment and processes from outside vendors.
  • Work with machine operators and manufacturing engineering to provide continuous improvement support to optimize the production process.

Responsibilities

Must follow safety guidelines and requirements.

  • Develop detailed understanding of processes and equipment to identify and solve process issues through troubleshooting, data analysis, and collaboration with stakeholders across the Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams.
  • Support process validation projects by aiding with set-ups, engineering studies, and related testing.
  • Provide administrative support such as developing and updating manufacturing documentation and tracking and reporting on process performance.
  • Support execution of projects including DMAIC, LEAN, 5S, cost reduction, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
  • Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Drivers License.
  • Background check and drug-screen are required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of mold injection machines and processes.
  • Knowledge of HDPE, resin systems, and setting up molds.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand blue prints and electrical schematics.
  • Ability to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, and work instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships.

Skills

  • CNC operation, set-up, and programming background.
